YAY!!! passed my Grade 8 Piano Exam.. =DDDD finally after 8 goin 9 yrs of learning piano..
finished everyting le.. so happy..
hahax..
but i scraped la.. LOL
106/150 (passing is 100)..
woot.. but my bro do better den me la..
125/150.. haha
i got merit for 1st piece..
distinction for 2nd piece..
and pass for 3rd piece..
but i failed Scales and Arpeggios..
Failed Sight Reading and Aural.. =(
the examiner was a british..
walao why they get a british here..
cant they get a singaporean to be examiner..?
and paid like $300++ for the exam..

Comments:
1st piece:
Prelude: the tempo was well-judged and the playing was musically and stylistically aware. Hands were well balanced and voices were clearly defined. One or two uncertain moments occurred. A pity.
Fugue: well controlled and the voices were clearly defined. Technical slips occurred towards the end.
2nd piece:
The opening was convincing and the style was conveyed. Tonal qualities were imaginatively varied and the peddeling was well managed. Ornamentation was clear. The performance was well controlled and were maintained at a steady pace. There was good fluency. Well done!
3rd piece:
Attractive projection and the playing was musically aware and expressive. A breakdown occurred. What a pity. Insecurity occurred again but you managed to keep going. There was sensitive use of tonal qualities. A shame this was not match with technical assurance.
